The third annual Tour of Tables was held on on November 7, 2013 in Woden. Twelve tables were each decorated a different way. The “Enchanted Evening” event raised money for the library.

Woden will hold trick or treating on October 31 from 5-7 p.m.
The Woden Community Club will hold a costume contest at 7 p.m. at the Community Center.
In the past, T-ball and softball programs were run by the school district. With the closure of the district, it has been left to area parents and the City to keep the program going and Woden’s softball field maintained.
For summer 2013, parents put together two leagues. 17 players participated in the T-ball program and 13 players signed up for softball. The City of Woden takes care of the field.

The annual Thanksgiving celebration held at Wubben’s Bar and Grill was featured in the Globe Gazette on November 22, 2012. It’s estimated about 1/3 of Woden’s citizens attend the event.

Faber Repair and Tire opened for business in on May 14 in the former Harold’s Tire Service location. According to a June 20th article in the Globe Gazette, “The business offers a full range of services, including tire repair and sales, oil changes, transmission service, exhaust, brakes and agriculture service calls.”
On Sunday, February 27 the Globe Gazette featured Woden in their weekly Backroads spotlight. The piece includes quotes from citizens, the mayor, and former residents as well as photos and an online video.

Woden’s post office was scheduled to close after Jan. 13th, 2012 but this has now been postponed. The office will remain open until at least May 15. In this interim period, mail may be addressed to either street address or PO Box number.

In July 2008 the 55-year-old North Central Co-Op Elevator was removed. It will be replaced by a new steel bin.
